Hearts is a single-player version of the classic trick-taking card game by MarketJS. Unlike most card games, the aim is to collect as few points as possible: hearts add penalties, and the queen of spades is especially costly.

How to play Hearts

Click or tap a card to play it. You must follow the suit led whenever your hand contains that suit; otherwise, you may discard another legal card. The highest card of the leading suit wins the trick. A game continues across hands until a player reaches 100 points, and the player with the lowest total wins.

Tips for a lower score

  • Track whether high cards in each suit have already been played.
  • Get rid of dangerous high spades before the queen becomes trapped in your hand.
  • Create a void in one suit so you can discard penalty cards later.
  • Attempt to shoot the moon only when your hand can reliably win every scoring card.
