About Two Dots Remastered
Developer: GameBerry Studio
Two Dots Remastered is a puzzle game built on the Two Dots formula: you join neighbouring dots of the same colour into a chain, the chain disappears, and new dots drop in to fill the gaps. Each level asks you to meet a goal before your moves run out.
The original Two Dots was published by the New York incubator Betaworks in 2014 as a level-based sequel to its earlier game Dots. Reviews of that release highlight two ideas that define the series: closing a chain into a square removes every dot of that colour from the board, and obstacles such as anchor tiles appear as you progress and force you to plan around them. Levels were also scored out of three stars, rewarding big combos and efficient play. This Remastered version follows the same family of ideas in a browser.
How to play Two Dots Remastered
Each turn is a single chain. Look at the whole grid before you commit, because the dots that fall afterwards decide what your next move can be.
- Press on a dot and drag across adjacent dots of the same colour to build a chain of two or more.
- Release to clear the chain; the dots above fall down and new ones enter from the top.
- Drag back into the starting dot to close a square and remove every dot of that colour at once.
- Check the level goal and the move counter before each turn, since running out of moves ends the attempt.
Tips for Two Dots Remastered
- Save square tricks for boards where one colour dominates; wiping it out opens large gaps and sets up cascades.
- Work from the bottom of the board upward when you can, because bottom clears shift more dots and create accidental combos.
- When an obstacle appears, spend early moves removing the dots that surround it instead of chasing other colours.
- Count moves against the goal before the first chain; some levels are won only by planning two turns ahead.
- Prefer long chains of five or more over several short ones, since they cost one move but clear more of the board.
