About Kris Mahjong
Developer: Agame
Kris Mahjong is a Mahjong tile-matching puzzle where the tiles show food instead of traditional symbols. You pick out identical pairs and remove them from the board before the countdown reaches zero.
The Remastered edition listed on Drifted Games describes a colourful, simple design with a large variety of foods, and warns that near-identical tiles are scattered across the board to mislead you. Early pairs are easy to spot, but the obvious matches run out quickly, and from then on you have to think about which tiles to remove first. The ticking timer is what separates it from relaxed solitaire versions of Mahjong.
How to play Kris Mahjong
Play is entirely mouse-driven. Look for two matching tiles, click one and then the other, and they disappear if the match is correct.
- Move the cursor over the board and left-click a tile to select it.
- Click a second tile that shows the same food; the pair is removed.
- In traditional Mahjong solitaire a tile is free only if it is not covered and can slide out sideways, so look at the edges first.
- Clear every tile before the countdown ends to complete the board.
Tips for Kris Mahjong
- Compare tile details closely; similar foods in different colours or shapes are the reason mismatches happen.
- Remove tiles that sit on top of others first, since they hide pairs underneath.
- Scan for more than one possible pair before picking, and prefer the one that frees the most tiles.
- Do not rush the opening; a few seconds spent finding the best order saves you time when matches get scarce.
- When you are down to a handful of tiles, count how many of each remain to avoid choosing a pair that strands another.
